The Annual Sports Day 2024 at Arun Modern Public Sr. Sec. School was nothing short of spectacular! Held on December 20th, the event showcased the athletic prowess and sportsmanship of our students across all grades.

Opening Ceremony

The day began with a grand opening ceremony featuring a march past by all four houses - Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow. The Chief Guest, Mr. Ramesh Kumar (District Sports Officer), inaugurated the event by lighting the sports torch. The oath was administered by our Head Boy, Arjun Singh.

Track and Field Events

The track events included 100m, 200m, 400m, and relay races for different age groups. The field events featured long jump, high jump, shot put, and discus throw. Our students demonstrated exceptional athletic abilities, with several records being broken this year.

Special Performances

Between events, students presented yoga demonstrations, aerobics displays, and a spectacular drill performance by our NCC cadets. The primary section's fancy dress race was a highlight, with adorable costumes and enthusiastic participation.

Winners and Achievements

Blue House emerged as the overall champions this year, followed closely by Green House. Individual champions were crowned in each category:

• Junior Boys Champion: Rohan Verma (Blue House)
• Junior Girls Champion: Priya Sharma (Green House)
• Senior Boys Champion: Vikram Singh (Blue House)
• Senior Girls Champion: Anjali Gupta (Yellow House)

Closing Ceremony

The event concluded with prize distribution by the Chief Guest and a vote of thanks by our Principal, Dr. Arun Kumar. The success of Sports Day 2024 reflects our school's commitment to holistic education and the importance we place on physical fitness.
